DONATIONS of EQUIPMENT
Recently our Church has been the recipient of several gifts from two different sources. These gifts have and will
enhance the ministry of Fillmore Christian Church.
<<<Sound System For FCC- The most recent gift was announced on Sunday
the 8th of November.
Tom Whiteman and his wife Sarah will be purchasing the components needed for a sound system in our Church. This was possible
through the estate of his Father, Keith W. who recently passed away in October of a sudden heart attack. Tom is familiar
with sound systems as his bachelors degree was in sound design. He has, in the past, designed and installed systems for several
organizations which include a larger church.
We are thankful for their gift as it will allow those with and without hearing impairments to properly hear during any
event held within the Church whether it is voice or music. It has already made possible the recording of messages which
can now be shared on the FCC Web Site. May this gift glorify our God as we serve Him to the best of our ability and bless
the giver at the same time.
It is anticipated that the sound system will be purchased and installed sometime in early 2010. Thank you Tom
& Sarah.
| Copier at the Parsonage Office |

|
<<<From Zearing Christian Church-
In September Ted brought with him two pieces of equipment which were donated
to Fillmore Christian Church by Zearing Christian Church.
The first item is a table top copier which has been rebuilt and only has a
few hundred copies on it after the overhaul. This will give us the ability to produce a newsletter and do
other copy work as needed from the Office at the Parsonage.
| HP Laser Jet Printer |

|
The second machine is a black and white HP 2015 Laser Jet Printer. This gives
us the ability to print at a low cost per page for small printing needs and is hooked directly to the computer.
Both of these items will help with ministry needs and office efficiency
. Thank you Zearing Christian Church for your generosity in gifting these items to Fillmore Christian Church.

Donation by
Clyde C. Jacobs, Jr
On the north wall at the west end of the worship center this
wonderful plaque hangs reminding us what Christianity is all about. The poem, "When I Say I’m A Christian" helps
us as God’s people to better understand the humanness in our life with Christ and our thankfulness to Him. Thank you
Clyde for sharing your gift with your fellow Christian here in Fillmore.
Clyde’s connections spiritually go back to the Fillmore Christian Church. He
is a lay Pastor and at age 75 serves the Lord in ministry even though he retired many years ago from the United States Air
Force as a Major. May our God continue to bless him in his life and ministry.
Here are the words to this wonderful poem:
When I Say, "I Am A Christian"
When I say "I am a Christian", I’m not shouting, "I am saved", I am whispering, "I was lost", "That is
why I chose His way"
When I say, "I am a Christian," I don’t speak of this with pride, I’m confessing that I stumble,
needing God to be my guide
When I say, "I am a Christian", I’m not trying to be strong, I’m professing that I’m weak,
and pray for strength to carry on
When I say, "I am a Christian", I’m not bragging of success, I’m admitting I have failed and cannot
ever pay the debt.
When I say, "I am a Christian", I don’t think I know it all, I submit to my confusion asking humbly to
be taught
When I say, "I am a Christian", I’m not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are all too visible, but God
believes I’m worth it
When I say, "I am a Christian", I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches which is why I
seek His Name
When I say, "I am a Christian", I do not wish to judge, I have no authority, I only know I’m loved

Some thoughts on our journey
Pastor Ted's mission trip to India in February & March of 2008 was,
to say the least, enlightening. Daily we saw the contrasts of life in our country versus that of India. To be frank, it felt
heavy seeing the poverty of people as we traveled the streets of India.
The photos cover the period of time from our departure on the 18th of Feb to March 5th, 2008 when
we returned to the U.S.
In the link below there are 38 pages of photos. To view each page click on any number
from 1 to 38.

The photos of the mission trip to India are divided into four groupings of areas visited:
1. New Delhi-
(see pages 1 - 5) containing tourist photos in this city along with the Taj Mahal visit in Agra.
2. Allahabad-
(see pages 5 - 10) containing ministry photos, the Allahabad Bible Seminary, Ganges River and arrival back in New
Delhi for the 3rd leg of our trip to the town of Chenni on the eastern coast.
3. Chennai- (see pages 11 -18) containing photos of the Madras Methodist
Center where we stayed, a Methodist Church, large Christian school, visit to St. Thomas Mount, two seminary
visits and others.
4. Southern India-
(see pages 18 - 38) Photos of a smaller orphanage, the Rock Bible Center, fishermen bringing their catch
in and auctioning of the fish by the seashore, a mission work, the Amy Carmichal Fellowship and more.
